Soph

We are bad parents. I made Kevin scare Sophia so we could get this awesome pic. This is my favorite face. I hate when she cries but just can't get enough of the lip.

Kitrina came down to visit for the day. Logan and Sophia hanging out.

Chirstmas Carnival

Jordyn's old school had a winter carnival that we got invited too since we just finished their two days previous. She had a blast. It was so much fun.

We played intruments to christmas songs and were told the Polar Express story. They gave each one of them bells.
Jordyn climbing through the train. It was really long but I only got a picture of the end.
Us with Santa. They gave Jor a big candy cane and a book.
Jordyn decorating sugar cookies and drinking hot cocoa.
We also made two crafts and played in an obstical coarse room. It was a great night and baby cooperated which is always nice.

First day of school

Jordyn started her first day of preschool last week. A bus came and picked her up at 8:30 in the morning. She went right on without any problems. She smiled and waved to me from the window. She was fine but I had to stop myself from crying. Bus driver said she did well. Not too sure how school went until her second day of preschool when she came home with an ornament. I loved how her picture was from that first day, her face was all blotchy from crying. Oopsy daisy. She seemed super happy when she got off the bus so hopefully it was just for a little bit:)

Jordyn's birthday

We had a little family party on Jordyn's birthday with Kevin and I Jordyn made out pretty well. She had so much fun opening presents. We get to do it all over again in a week!
Yes, my little girl got barbies. I loved them growing up. I can't believe she is so old.
Some of her presents. Thanks to grandpa Gary, Kristen, and Grandma and Grandpa Losee.

Jordyn's 3rd birthday party

Jordyn turned 3 on December 13th and we had a little birthday party for her. We had 8 little kids over and their moms. She loves art so we decided to have an art party. We made a snowman craft, christmas tree finger painting, decorated cupcakes and played games. We also had pizza and let them draw on the table. Everyone seemed to have a great time. Jordyn did awesome and didn't even have 1 tantrum!

Pigging out on her cupcake.
She got lots of great presents.

Lights

We went to lights at Temple Square with the Woods and Waits. It was interesting.
Sophia dressed all snugly. Not that it helped. She cried the whole time.
Me and Kit. I don't have any pictures with Lindsey because we got seperated.
A family picture where Jordyn is somewhat looking? It's a Miracle! Too bad Sophia's face is covered by her beanie.
Jordyn and the nativity. They have so many cute ones now.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving morning started off a little rough. Jordyn woke up all sweaty, but no fever and very cranky. I was in the kitchen cooking and Santa came in the parade. I kept wondering why Jordyn wouldn't answer me when I was telling her to look and I saw that she had fallen asleep. She was pretty grumpy for most the day but got better as it got later. Still not sure what was wrong with her.
Had to continue the tradition of gumdrop turkeys. This is Jordyn's first year doing them. It was a big hit with all the kids.
Mirinda was just so hungry, I caught her pigging out:)
Little girl got lots of love from family members. Lucky me, a much needed break after cooking all morning with two screaming kids. Why do girls have to stay home and cook while the boy play? Its so unfair.

Love this place

We got another pass to the Discover Museum a month ago and have been 3 times already. I love going and Jordyn has so much fun. She plays for hours. Its great. If only I still had one it would be a nice break!

Friends

Lindsey is in town for Thanksgiving and I got to spend a whole day with her all to myself. That never happens since her inlaws are out here. Sophia and Paisley had so much fun playing together. J/k, but you can imagine. Somehow they managed to be wearing the same thing without us trying. We had a really fun dinner with Lindsey, Marc, Kristina, and Eric last night. Tomorrow we are off to the Discovery Museum together and then Tuesday we are seeing New Moon. I love when Lindsey comes to town and wish we lived closer. Thanks for hanging!

Sophia Update

Sophia had her 2 month check up a week and a half ago. So here are the stats:
9 lbs 15 oz 20% (Exactly the same percentile as Jordo at 2 months)
22 inches 40%
Cant remember the head but it was also 40%
She is doing pretty good. Just the usual newborn challenges but we have quite a few nights where she sleeps from 9:30 to 6:30. I will take it! Unfortunately she is not big on being held. She is not a cuddler and makes it pretty tough to fall asleep in my arms. I've given up on getting a snuggly baby.
This is my favorite; when she stretches. I love to pinch her cheeks when she does this because they get all squishy.
Lots of smiles have been coming my way but getting them on camera is tough. She gets distracted by the camera and I lose the smile. This was a move the camera in as fast as possible and hope I get her in the frame shot. Not a huge smile but good enough.

Jordyn Update

So for all that don't know Jordyn has been in a program with the Jordan School District because she is delayed with speach. We take her to a toddler class every Tuesday and her teacher comes to the house twice a month. She has had so much fun at this class and in the 2 months that she has been doing this she has improved so much. When she first was evaluated the teacher said she was probaly speaking 1o-2o words on her own. Just this week when her teacher came and we were evaluating her again she is now up to 50-75 words. Its coming in fast and I'm getting excited. A lot of work to be done still though. So I met with her preschool teacher on Friday and she will start preschool on December 14th. The day after her birthday. A bus will come and pick her up and drop her off twice a week for 2 hours. What will I do with my time? This program has been so wonderful and so much fun that I'm wondering how to delay Sophia's speach! j/k

She has a new obsession with art. Before she started with the program she would color for about 30 seconds. Now she spends hours doing it. She also loves to paint. We do water colors and these finger paints. It's messy but she has so much fun doing it. She definitely has a lot longer attention span than before.
Jordyn pretending to be a bunny with tights on her head.
All in all things are going good. We still have a lot of behavioral problems but I do see improvement and her teacher and I have been working pretty hard to help her with that. I think with the communication the behavior will follow. Lets hope!

Blessing Day

Blessing day has come and gone and I couldn't be more releaved. Baby didn't cry which was nice. My dad and sister Kristen came down and we had a great weekend together. Lots of eating which was not good.

Picture impossible. Baby was screaming, Jordyn wouldn't look at the camera, and at one point picked up a handful of deer poop that was right below us. So much for a christmas card shot.
Then there is my other child Kevin making this silly face:(
