Fall is coming

This was supposed to be our last nice weekend so we decided to head for the mountains. We did the Alpine loop and headed over to Sundace. The fall colors were starting to come out and it was really pretty.

Sophia Pics

I have been asked for some updated Sophia pics, so here are some more.

Sophia and Ada (Shandra's little girl) They are a month apart but Ada was born at 5 lbs something so they are just about the smae size.

I love the way she is sleeping here with her hand up. It was funny.

Bad Baby Timing

So next time I go to have a baby I need to remember to avoid harvest time. I have not had a chance to rest because it seems like every free moment is spent canning or making something. So far this year we have pickeled cucumbers about once a week, we have done a couple batches of pickeled beets, we pickeled assorted vegi's, canned maranara sauce, made several batches of fresh salsa, pepper jelly, strawbery jam, peach jelly, beans, prepared and froze peas, and countless number of anneheim (sp?) green, and jalepeno peppers. Next is going to be canned salsa since we have more tomatoes than we could ever need. Our peppers are still growing like crazy too so I will have to figure that out. Our raspberry plant has also been doing great so I made a couple batches of ice cream and Jordyn has been eating them like crazy. So busy, busy around here. So much for taking it easy:)

Sophie
A lot of people were asking me to see a picture of Jordyn when she was a baby. So what do you guys think? Any similarities?

Pics

Just thought I would throw a few more pictures on the blog.

I love this one because she's just chilin. You might not be able to tell but she's got her legs crossed.

We did it!

Yah, so just got home from the hospital. I was so anxious to get out of there. Baby Sophia was born on September 3rd at 3:13 pm. She weighs 7 lbs 15 oz and was 19 inches long. So far she is pretty good but we have heard the comment from several nurses how she has the loudest cry. I have to say that everyone should have babies with how easy this labor was. It was 1 million times better than with Jord. They gave me my epidural even before I got petocin so I hardly felt a thing. Then I barely pushed. It was nice. No shared room, they gave her a bottle, took her to the nursery, she even got her own pacifire! Much better experience all around.
