I just can't stop thinking about those whales. They definitely made top five moments of my life. I would say number one: whales followed by birth of my children and maybe my wedding day in there somewhere. Seriously one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I wish I had gotten video of them jumping or flapping their fins.

First Day of School
Jordyn started kindergarten last week which was really very devastating for me. It hit me harder than I thought. I hate the thought of her at a big girl school unprotected especially with her speech delay but I suppose it's time for me to get used to it. She did not feel the same as me.
This is her class. We went in the night before to meet the teacher. She has Mrs Kyser who everyone says is great and Jordyn loves. She draws her pictures every day to take to school.
Her is my babe on the first day of school. She normally rides the bus but I wanted to take her this one time.
She made some friends at her bus stop. These girls are kindergartners in the other class.
I don't have wonderful pictures but the last day of summer my friend Laura invited us over for a water balloon fight. It was mostly boys except 1 other girl so my girls had a great time sitting on the grass playing with their water balloons. So girly:(
We went to Emerald Downs to watch the horse races. We walked away with a whole 6 bucks. It was pretty awesome, although I wish Satan would have worked his magic more and let us win bigger. Isn't that how you're supposed to get addicted? It was not planned, we were both just feeling st patricky I guess.
This guy came over and played us a little song for the kids. The only bummer is we forgot our big hats.
Fee turned 3
My little baby girl turned 3 a couple of weeks ago. Her birthday fell on the day after our big Canada trip so it was a rush to get everything done.
Kevin had her birthday off due to it being Labor Day so we let her open some of her presents early to enjoy at the beach. Thanks Jam!
We had a party that night with homemade Mac n Cheese and some present opening.
Soph's favorite is ice cream so she got to blow out candles on an ice cream sundae.
A few days later we did a friend party. Soph loves animals, especially farm animals so we had a farm party. Don't make fun of my cake, it's awesome.
The kids got to be piggies at the party.
We started the fun with some cow races.
Then the kids got to do a scavenger hunt for lost farm animals.
A little snack in the shade was necessary since we had a freak 85 degree day. Just my luck.
A little pin the tail on the amazing cow and some bean bag tossing that I didn't get a picture of.
The kids made a sheep craft. Sophia's had 4 eyes.
Then it was time for cake and present. Birthday girl was being shy so I had to pull her arms away from her face.
All the kiddos.

Vacation Time
We just got back from an amazing week long trip with my dad and Crystal. Here is a summary of what we did.
This is how we started our trip, with a ferry ride to the San Juan Islands. (Friday Harbor to be exact) We had 3 ferry rides during this trip for a total of 3 1/2 hours of ferrying.
On the San Juan Islands we had a cabin in the forest that was next to a lake and had a fire pit. It was an amazing place. We started out a this place below called Lime Kiln which is the best place for whale watching. We had no luck but enjoyed the view.
Lucky for us though we randomly stopped by the next morning to do some tide pooling and ran into this. There were tons of whales everywhere you looked and they were right next to us. We saw a few jump and one put on a show for us, flapping its fins and tail. This was the highlight of the trip. Our cabin came with canoe rentals.
We went back a 3rd time to Lime Kiln with no luck again but still had a good time.
After a couple of days we headed to Victoria and started out at one of the best aquariums and it was just a tiny thing.
And it had a petting zoo. Jordyn is once again obsessed with peacocks.
We visited the butterfly garden.
And of course Butchart Gardens
Jordyn spitting water. Kevin's idea of course.
The next morning we visited Parliament, which was very interesting.
We hiked to a waterfall.
The view from our hotel.
The Empress Hotel looking freaky at night.
After 3 days in Victoria we headed over to Vancouver. This is one of the most interesting, beautiful cities I have been to.
The Suspension Bridge. Our last day in Vancouver we found a fun beach that you could walk out super far.
It was a great trip! Thanks dad and Crick.
