Halloween Party

We threw our first annual Halloween party and it was a success.  We had a really fun night full of games, food, and hanging.

Kev and I had such a hard time figuring out what to do for our costumes. This is our last minute idea. I'm a dead deer head on a plaque.

Here are all the girls except for two.
We played minute to win it games.  It was pretty funny.  I had to judge so I didn't get to play but I wish I could have.
This is the mummy wrap game. It ended up a little scary at the end, especially the other team who I ended up having to catch someone before they fell on a table.
Banana game. It looks really bad but was dang funny.
I love this cookie game. So simple yet so hard. Kevin and I practiced after with chocolate pretzels with not a ton of luck. Kevin thought he was so cool because he got it first try but on his second pretzel it took a lot longer. Not as easy as you might think. Give it a try.

Pumpkin Patches Galore

We have visited 3 pumpkin patches this year. There seems to be a plethora of them around us. The first one the girls picked out their pumpkins.

On our last sunny day for 9 months I took the girls to the farm to play. It was a blast.

With the whole fam and some friends we went to Stocker Farms. It was a pretty chilly day and ended up raining towards the end but we still had a good time.

Jordyn caught lots of fish by her self and even was baiting her own hook by the end.

Awkward Family Photo's anyone?
We got lost in a corn maze for a bit which is not a good position to be in when it start to pour and hail. We just had to deal. We ended up pretty muddy.
Luckily most of the rain happened during our covered hay ride.
I'm sure I'm not done pumpkining yet. You can never have enough Halloween fun!!!

Leavenworth

We spent a day in Leavenworth which is a Bavarian village about 2 hours from our house. We had a really fun day. It was Oktoberfest so we got wasted. You can imagine. We did get to enjoy all the happenings since it was going on though.
Such as a cute little parade
And some awesome Yodeling (see background)
The stores were pretty fun too.
Nice blurry picture. I never claimed to be good at this.

Afterwards we picnicked along the river and a nice sandy beach.

 Then took a little walk

Afterwards we went to Lake Wenatchee and had fun throwing rocks in. I definitely want to camp there next summer. It was gorgeous.

Fun with friends

We have been enjoying our friends. Soph had fun at Keyan's birthday party at jump planet. Its been so nice because Sophia runs off and an hour later I go find her. I love having old kids.
We also did a craft day with some buddies. Made some super cute pumpkins. The kids had fun playing together.

Oh Ya, October is Here

It's my favorite season and my favorite holiday. I have rubbed off on Jordyn because she seems a bit obsessed too. It's been nothing but halloween pictures, movies, coloring, crafts, treats, parties, you get the point. We got our Halloween boxes out on October first. Sophia put on her infant costume from 2 years ago and Jordyn put on her witch costume from when she was 3. My silly girls don't seem to be growing much.
We celebrated the start of the season with the much anticipated box. It seems to have grown this year.
 We are never disappointed.
The girls got these cute dress ups. Check out their bums.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

Last Days of Outdoors

We lucked out here with an amazing September and a nice first part of October. We enjoyed our extra warm day by doing the Meadowdale Beach Hike with some friends. We found tons of crabs. (Jordyns favorite) The hike up was a bit rough on the girls but they were troopers.

We also took a really nice walk at North Creek Park. Goodbye warm.

Puyallup Fair

Kevin got his mustache ready and we headed south to the Washington's biggest fair in Puyallup.  There were lots of animals to check out.

Jordyn agreed to try out the mutton bustin. Here she is in all her gear.
Turns out she's pretty good. Here is my proud baby receiving her 3rd place medal. She tied for 3rd. Notice the proud daddy behind her. She clung to that sheep until it rammed her into another sheep. She cried for a bit after but as soon as she found out she was getting a medal it was nothing but smiles.  Watch the video below.

The girls got to participate in a pirate play.

Then we headed over to Olympia to visit with Kevin's cousins. We took a walk over to the capitol and had a yummy dinner.
