Brighton

We went up to Brighton for a little Sunday hike around the lake. Glen and Troy decided to join us. It was a bit cooler than I expected so Jordyn is wearing her grandmother coat and Sophia is wrapped in Glen's blanket. It's a good think he was prepared or my girls would have froze. I know I did.

Kevin is acting prego with Sophia top left. Looking for fish bottom right. I love that picture.
Jordyn having a blast. Feeding ducks and running around. She loves her uncle Troy who kept banging the stick on the ground and chasing her. Sophia thought it was pretty dang funny too and couldn't stop laughing.
Baby Sophia. It was such a pretty time of day and made for a perfect Sunday.

Sophia's First Birthday Party

I threw Sophia a party she could never forget this year. Until the day after. I'm sure it's all ready left her memory. But at least her mother will remember it right? It was a bit extreme but any excuse for a party!

Angela (my sis in law) and Donna made this sign for me. Thanks for all the work! It turned out really cute. I decided to do a rainbow party theme.
The decorated table. We had lots of good food. Pork loin, tri-tip, fresh corn on the cob, rolls, and fruit. I had mini cupcakes and an ice cream bar. (We have a ton of leftover candy and ice cream so I think a second ice cream party is in order) It all ended up being a lot of work and to make things easier Kevin got called into Jury Duty that day. I called Shan desperate and she helped bail me out.
The birthday girl with her grandma. She's all about rainbow!
The kiddo's with their party favors.

It's present time. Sophia had more fun just sitting on her boxes than anything else. She loved climbing on all the different sized boxes. She got some great presents. Thanks everyone!
Soph and Ada sharing the piano my dad gave her.
Batteries! All the kids screaming for him to hurry up.
Crytal and my dad got Jordyn a present too. She is a spoiled girl. Thanks guys!

Kevin called the rainbow store and had this double rainbow show up just in time for our rainbow party. That was really nice of him to do that:) It was funny watching the storms roll through and this is probably the brightest rainbow I have ever seen.
Sophia getting ready to blow out her candle. The hat didn't stay on long. She wasn't too thrilled

Idaho Trip

We went out to Idaho to visit Kevin's sister Angela for her son Braden's 1st birthday party. It was a lot of fun with a lot of not fun mixed in. We started the trip by attending a rodeo which was really fun but on the way out of the fair Sophia threw up all over. She had a rough night and rough next morning. We ended up staying and letting Jordyn have a bit of fun. The got to ride their horse and go to the fair while I stayed with Soph.

Here is Jordo on Nate's horse. Check out that eye in the clouds.
Braden's puppy party. It ended up being so cute.
Poor sick Sophia was not so happy about getting all dressed up.
Angela had them eat their cupcakes out of dog bowls. Jordyn got all into it and ate like a little puppy.
We had a fun drive home that night and ended up stopping for an outfit change. Sophia is finally better a whole week later. She only managed to get Angela and her kids sick (Angela ended up in the hospital) Glen, Donna, Crystal and Helena. Sorry everyone:(

Gymnastics

I got Jordyn into a gymnastics class and I had to take a picture because she looked so cute. She seemed to have a lot of fun. I thought this would be a better fit for her than dance since it's a little less structured. Lots of jumping, and rolling, and being crazy.

Camping

My friend Kelly and her husband invited us to go camping and boating with them at Yuba lake. My girls didn't have the best time on the boat but we still had fun. Sophia hates the life jacket which was annoying and Jordyn was a wuss as usual.
The lighting on this picture did not turn out right. (Stacey this is a hint for more lesson's please) but I didn't have any of Sophia so I threw it in.
My cutie hanging out at the lake.
The girls couldn't get enough of each other. They had a great time playing in the tent and running around the campsite.

24th of July

We had a great 24th of July this year at Kevin's parents house. We had yummy food, fun swimming, and fireworks.
The boy's are getting a little rowdy in the pool. Earlier we had all of us in there and played keep the beach ball in the air. Whoever dropped it got a nice big splash to the face.
Stacey orchestrated this sweet photo of the kids doing sparklers.
What are fireworks without snakes. Jordyn kept saying "eww, poo poo."
The gang watching the fireworks. I have to say that compared to my dad's firework shows ours was pretty lame but the kids didn't seem to mind. We did buy one $11 finale which is not like my dad's $100 finale's but still pretty good.

Swimming

We have this reservoir about 2 minutes from our house that we like to visit once a week. We've been going with Jordyn's good friend Emersyn and my good friend Kelly. The girls have so much fun swimming in their hippo's together. And us mom's have a great time doing nothing:)

Even Sophia can't complain. She always finds herself in the water and loving it.
