February Updates

We have all felt a little bit like poor Sophia below this month. We have spent half the month with one of us being sick and all of us having something at one time or another. Kevin was sick on Valentines of course. For those that know my husband he somehow manages to get sick on every Valentines day, anniversary, mothers day, or my birthday. It's very convenient. We have spent a lot of time in the house trying to recover.

Sophia is really starting to grow fast. She can say a couple words and understands a lot of what I say. She goes down huge slides all by herself and like to climb on just about everything.
Jordyn is still in preschool through the special ed program; but with that combined with 2 days of speech therapy, she is really coming along. She is in gymnastics and is starting to do really well. She managed to do 5 pull ups in a row on the bar last week and none of her class mates could even do one. She will be my strong one. Maybe get some weight training records like her mother:) She is obsessed with coloring now and I see her with a crayon in her hand half the day.
Kevin and I are hanging in there doing the usual stuff. Work is going well but busy. He is required to work 15% over time every week so he usually comes home after the kids are in bed. I've just been staying busy with running Jor to therapy, play dates, music makers, and play group.

Dressing Up

My girls insist on dressing up at least once a day. They get all decked out in dresses, shoes, crowns, wings, and jewelry. Its funny how Fia is so into it already.

This is Jordyn's crazy surprise face. It's freaking me out a bit.

Movie Night

We watched Shan's kids one night and they wanted to watch a movie. I just thought this was a cute picture. I even managed to get the babies watching for a while. The popcorn helped to keep them there of course.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day is my least favorite holiday of the year but I try to make it fun for the kids. We had a nice dinner that nobody ate. Not sure why I bother. It didn't help that we were all about to get sick starting with Kevin on this very day.
Kevin was THRILLED to open his card. Jordyn made Valentines cards for her daddy and both grandparents.
Jordyn and Fia got some little tin purses full of some fun stuff.

We enjoyed eating some Valentines cupcakes thanks to Grandpa and his care package (See below)

Pre-Valnetines Fun

We were surprised with a fun Valentines care package from my pops and Crystal the week before the holiday. The girls always have a blast opening all of them. This one just kept going with more and more fun things as you can see below.
We made full use of everything in the box and had to play with the bubble wrap afterwards.

What was I thinking?

So Jamie begged me to put up a picture of my horrible mistake. I was getting sick of Sophia's mullet that was starting to grow so I thought how easy it would be to just cut a little bit off the back. I'm an idiot. It turned out so short and uneven. Looking at it I'm not sure how I managed to screw up this bad. The pictures below don't even do it justice. Oh please grow back quickly. I'm so sad. Luckily it's winter and I can put beanie's on her when we go out. I always look back at my childhood pictures and curse my mother for getting me these hideous hair cuts and look what I did.....

Suck Month

So January was the suckiest suck that ever sucked!!!!!! Just kidding, it wasn't that bad but it wasn't that great either. I have hardly any pictures to show for it. We came off of the crazy holidays and a trip to CA to 20 degree weather and smog. It was slightly depressing. Even though I have no proof we have been doing stuff. Therapy and school of course, but we've also added in a play group and music makers. We went to the farm and thanksgiving point, roller skating, the discovery museum, and hung out with lots of friends. On the super warm days when it reached 40 we made it to the park as well:)

We finally got Jordyn's room together. We found her a bunk bed at Costco but only put up 1 bed for now. That took up a whole Saturday trying to paint. By myself I might add. Kevin didn't want it painted so he refused to help. I have nothing on the walls yet. That comes next.

I had to throw in my only picture taken. It was after playing in the snow and baths the girls got some hot chocolate.
