Vacation Time

We just got back from an amazing week long trip with my dad and Crystal.  Here is a summary of what we did. 

This is how we started our trip, with a ferry ride to the San Juan Islands. (Friday Harbor to be exact) We had 3 ferry rides during this trip for a total of 3 1/2 hours of ferrying. 

On the San Juan Islands we had a cabin in the forest that was next to a lake and had a fire pit. It was an amazing place. We started out a this place below called Lime Kiln which is the best place for whale watching. We had no luck but enjoyed the view.  

 Lucky for us though we randomly stopped by the next morning to do some tide pooling and ran into this.  There were tons of whales everywhere you looked and they were right next to us. We saw a few jump and one put on a show for us, flapping its fins and tail.  This was the highlight of the trip.

 Our cabin came with canoe rentals.

 We went back a 3rd time to Lime Kiln with no luck again but still had a good time.

After a couple of days we headed to Victoria and started out at one of the best aquariums and it was just a tiny thing.  

 We visited a local park that ended up being gorgeous.

 And it had a petting zoo. Jordyn is once again obsessed with peacocks.

 We visited the butterfly garden.

 And of course Butchart Gardens

 The next morning we visited Parliament, which was very interesting.

 We hiked to a waterfall.

After 3 days in Victoria we headed over to Vancouver. This is one of the most interesting, beautiful cities I have been to.

 Our last day in Vancouver we found a fun beach that you could walk out super far.
